My paintings are an exploration of process, time, and discovery. Each piece begins as a raw surface, where I layer various materials—paint, shellac and oil pastels. The act of rubbing the surface is central to my process: as I work, I engage in a dialogue with the materials, allowing what emerges to guide the composition. Through this process, I seek to capture the relationship between nature’s forms and the passage of time. The rubbing technique becomes a metaphor for erosion and revelation, where each stroke uncovers subtle nuances beneath the surface, and the final image is shaped not just by intentional mark-making, but by the organic processes that occur as I work. The results are landscapes that feel both familiar and mysterious, full of movement and depth, inviting the viewer to find their own narrative.
