Holly Thomas is an artist based in Gisborne, Tairawhiti. Holly has a diverse and unique style. Her work blurs the distinction between painting and drawing – exploring surface, edge, contour and colour with a variety of marks and materials. Usually abstract, she creates a visual language and dialogue between artist and viewer through bold works bursting with colour, to quiet and spacious pieces that provide calm and space. Holly’s work is held in private collections and she is involved with shows, exhibitions and galleries nationwide.
