Kea

Description

Kea, the world’s only true alpine parrot, is widely regarded as the most intelligent bird on Earth and you can see why. Kea play and laugh together and they’re obsessed with anything new (neophilic, if you want to get technical). This curiosity once saw them killed as pests and because of this the Kea is now nationally endangered. Not everyone gets to see this guardian of our Southern Alps, soaring amongst the mountains screeching ke-ee-aa-aa, but at least you can gaze upon this national treasure as Metalbird, every day in your own backyard.

Our Kea is:
Regular: 20cm high by 29cm wide (includes measurement of the branch/spike)
Easily installed with the tap of a hammer (pre-drill hard wood)
Crafted in 3mm Corten® ‘weathering’ Steel to form a beautiful patina that changes with the seasons
