“The Way Back Home” is a reflection of the places, memories, and elements that have shaped my sense of belonging and called me back to where I started. This collection of resin works combines fluidity and texture, evoking the natural world’s organic ebb and flow. Each piece captures a feeling of return—whether to the rolling waves of the ocean or the quiet majesty of the mountain and hills that surround me.
Through the interplay of resin, ink, and acrylic, I explore the emotional and physical landscapes that makeup “home.” The blues and greens of the ocean anchor three of the works, each layer unfolding like the tides—serene yet powerful. In contrast, the mountain-inspired piece draws from earthy greens and grounding textures to mirror the rugged beauty of higher ground. The translucent depth of the resin amplifies the sense of movement, while ink and acrylic add details of intimacy and depth —like memories surfacing through the vastness.
This series is a personal narrative of rediscovery, reflecting the universal desire to reconnect with the places and moments that restore us. “The Way Back Home” is not just a geographic return; it’s a journey of reclaiming the calm, strength, and sense of wonder that home embodies.
